Dr. Akiva M. Daum, MD, FAPA, is a Florida licensed psychiatrist who received his M.D. from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. His residency in general psychiatry and addiction fellowship was completed through the Boston University School of Medicine. He has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings for general adult and substance use disorders.
Dr. Daum is currently a psychiatrist for KimmelPsychology where he sees patients from a variety of backgrounds and mental health conditions using innovative and evidence-based techniques. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General and Addiction Psychiatry and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr Daum has expertise in the use of medication assisted treatment including Buprenorphine/Naloxone and Naltrexone for opioid use disorder as well as using naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram for alcohol use disorders.
